Because a few people have asked – this is how big the kindle is – it’s next to a pretty standard sized UK paperback. (Ignore the keyboard, it’s smaller than the average one.)

Might be a daft question – but can you use them for anything other than downloading and reading books?
Depends which you get. Some have browsers and dictionaries and such things. And I can annotate PDFs and things on this as well. I think! 🙂
And you can use wireless internet on mine (very slow!) for emails, news etc
Not sure I can on mine – give me a minute…:)
thanks. Love the subtle plug of Tania's book, too 🙂
Now I think this is an excellent photograph 😉 And it means that if this still doesn't tell you how big it is, all you need to do is go and buy a copy of my book, somewhat cheaper than a Kindle (!), and you'll know! Purely educational, of course. And you get 27 short stories thrown in for free 🙂
Pleasure Sue!That made me chuckle Tania – free short stories? How wonderful!
Nik, you should even have your own Kindle e-mail address on there so you can send yourself documents to edit. Ooooh, what a sophisticated writer you can be!(I'm sticking with the traditional 6-year-old laptop with additional editing by cat-paw-on-keyboard option myself)
