There’s an excellent interview with the brilliant Tania Hershman over at the also brilliant Nicola Morgan’s blog today. It’s about flash fiction. One of my pieces is up there too, which is lovely. So pop over, have a look, enjoy, and if you’ve any questions for Tania, or any opinion on short, short, stories, good or bad, leave a comment.

I loved your strawberry flash fiction on Tania Hershman's site.
Hi Sonia! Thanks so much for taking the time to let me know. That's lovely to hear! Nik
Hey Nik,As did I. Hope it'll be in the book.Take it easy
Thanks Alex. And yip it's in there all right!
Thanks for pointing me over to the interview, which was inspiring, and the story, which was fantastic.
Thanks Teresa. And you're, of course, most welcome.
I did use a lot of commas in that post.
All correctly placed though, no? 😉
Hey Nik,I loved that piece. Again sparseness of words but saying so much. My favourite type of writing (if not something I manage myself!)…Kelly
Thanks Kelly! If you struggle with sparseness, try this:1. Write a story. 2. Take out everything that doesn't absolutely need to be there.3. Repeat number 2.4. See if it's worked…
…actually I'd apply that to any story – no matter how long it is.
