This is the newest member of my fountain pen family. It’s a 1950’s Pelikan Stenonib, and it’s come all the way from Germany. I like it. I’m thinking the thin nib’ll be great for mss alterations. I just hope it doesn’t leak like my last one. Fingers crossed.

And here’s something rather striking I saw and photoed yesterday. A lovely little damselfly.

I hope I’m satisfying those who requested more pictures on the blog.

You write in fountain pen?? Wow, whatever works for you, man. It is beautiful, here’s to leak-free writing. And that’s a beautiful pic of a damselfly.

Oh yes, I’ve become quite the fountain pen convert (read: snob) over the last year or so. Tell you what though, unless you’re a left hander, it’s much easier and much better on the wrists than writing in anything else; less cramp and soreness. And they do look cool and beautiful. ;)I’ll drink to leak-free writing! This one seems in better shape than the last oldie I bought, so, fingers tightly crossed, it should be okay.Nik

This is brilliant, the picture of your pen and the picture of the damsel fly… I want to look at and post pictures of great things like this all the time… I might take some photos of my vegetable patch tonight and do a photo blog as the vegetables grow.If the vegetables grow, that is.

Thanks folks.Well, the pen’s offically called PELIKAN 140 Steno Nib, which is a bit of a mouthful. I have not thought of anything more suitable, other than, My New Pen. I@ve not named a pen before, so we’ll have to see if that changes! Thanks Sally. Ooh a veggie patch photoshoot (Jenn style?) would be ace. If you shoot them, they will grow.Nik

Call him Nib for short, then you can be Nik and Nib.(Today’s tip: never name anything you will have to discard eventually. You will feel like a murderer).

I couldn’t just name that one – all the others’d feel left out! I can feel a Nib 1, Nib 2, etc system coming on. 🙂
