A Silver Lining. Of Sorts.

Further to my bemoaning of workmen and their noisy machines earlier I feel I should probably tell you about the good thing that’s happened as a result of their labours.

I’ve been able to see the cobbles which used to be the road, in the places where they’ve removed the tarmac. Which is nice. Shame they’ll have to cover them up again. I rather like them. Makes me wonder what other beauties and treasures lie hidden beneath the grey mask of industrial progress.

A shower now and then a birthday meal with my beloved. Who knows, I might even get to relax!

Cheers Kev. Polish, polish, polish indeed. And don’t give up. A first draft might stink (I have experience of this!) but it can be a bloody good place to work from.Hi Annie,I will try to have a look at your story but I can’t guarantee it’ll be soon as I’ve (as always!) got far too much on (subs, novel rewrites, interviews, etc etc etc etc!). It might be worth having a look at http://www.writewords.org.uk – a writers’ website I’m a member of, if you’re after crits and support and things. It really is a great place to be if you’re a writer of any experience. And no, I’m not on their payroll!Keep writing!Nik.
