I am Still Alive, Promise

Hello all. Sorry for being quiet here for the last couple of weeks but, to be completely honest with you, I’ve not had anything worthwhile to say. And I’ve learned from experience that when that’s the case it’s probably best to not say anything at all.

So, I’ve been being quiet. I’ve been turning thirty-one (a huge thanks to all the very lovely people who’ve wished me a happy birthday). I’ve been writing. And I’ve been reading. And that, the birthday bit aside, is really what I think writers are best at.

This, from The Paris Review, I thought was cool though and worth sharing.

And this is a picture of my notebook. It’s closed so that means I’ve finished for the day.

I hope you had a happy day!
I’ve had a birthday this week and 31 seems a very long time ago to me. So still plenty of time for you to write lots more, read lots more and do lots of exciting things. And, hopefully, for me too!

Honestly, Kathryn, it feels a little bit older than I’d like it to. But it’s not all bad. (Can’t wait till I’m fifty if that’s the rule!)
