And The Winner Is

Well, judging the competition entries last night was both fun and really, really difficult. Seriously folks, the quality of submissions was very high and I think it’s fair to say that any could have won.

But there could be only one winner. And after much deliberation, discussion (but not actual disagreement) Katherine and I both agreed, happily, that the story/poem that should go in the book was Vanessa Gebbie’s entry. 
It was, as Katherine said, ‘the story that captured the moment between hand and the hen the best.’
Congratulations to Vanessa, and huge, huge thanks to all you others. If I’m honest we could have put out a book containing all the entries.

    Thanks you again. I love this! Hens and hands… its perfect. I wish this book all the luck it deserves, and cant wait to see it.
