This time to a piece by Bruce Holland Rogers on Expressionism, Surrealism, Magical Realism, and Fantasy for Flash Fiction Online, which I thought interesting.

And no sooner had I proclaimed I’d sent off my first submission of the year when – can you guess what happened? – I received my first rejection of the year. Which made the link I posted below even more useful, especially this line:

And that interview I mentioned yesterday is coming. It’s a good one. But you’ll have to wait just a wee bit longer for it…
Bummer, Nik – but get it sent out to the next on your list at once!Love & hugsAxxx
That’s what I like to see – an axe-wielding approach to the new year – a submission and a rejection and it’s only day three! Just started JaNoWriMo (possibly as a way of avoiding said approach) but look forward to reading interview and good luck with submission 🙂 Diane
Thanks Anne. I will. I just don’t think my style’s for them. Which happens. Thanks Diane – the axe is out! Best of luck with Janowrimo! You’re braver than me! Nik
Sorry to hear about the rejection, Nik, but very best of luck with that shiny new submission! Thanks for yesterday’s link – it was very interesting. Yet another great blog that I shall add to my list and attempt to keep up with!Happy New Year!Emma x

Happy new year, Sarah! And good luck!Nik
What a pain… maybe you need to buy yourself a new fountain pen to cheer yourself up!:)
Ha! As tempting as that is, I feel it may be a little too far on the extravagant side. I might wait till I’ve sold something first! ;)Nik
