A Lovely Mention

So last week I got up to date with everything I’d been struggling with over the past couple of months. Now I’m trying to get everything organised. And get back to writing.  This is good.

What’s also good (or, well, terrific and pleasing and affirming and all sorts of nice adjectives) is this mention, of my blog, over at the fab Strictly Writing, where the fab writers there recommended their favourite writing websites and blogs – their list is definitely worth a read, and they want your suggestions too. A huge and proud thanks to Sam who said:
“SamI can highly recommend Nik’s Blog. Nik is a diverse writer of adult and children’s fiction and of poetry. He runs workshops and was recently instrumental in putting together the book 20 Photos & 20 Stories, to raise money for the Alzheimer’s society. I admire his initiative. I admire his innovation. I enjoy the interviews and reports on the literary events he’s attending. What’s more I enjoy following the life of someone who genuinely strives to make a living from the writing. It’s like popping in to catch up with a friend over a virtual coffee – a cosy safe haven within what can be a brutal world of publishing!”

Tomorrow I’ll be posting an interview I did with the brilliant Tamar Yellin, whose book, Kafka in Bronteland, I loved.
