A Bewildering Story

Just a quick note to let you know that I’ve a very short story, Zalon the Hairdresser, up at Bewildering Stories (and thanks to Fionna for reminding me!).

Zalon was a real pleasure to write (I think I wrote the original draft a year ago – actually, as a point of (debatable) interest, the picture, the one on the right below FOLLOWERS and above the cover of I Met a Roman… is of me reading it last September) anyhoo, back to the point. Yes. Writing it was a pleasure, not least because of Don Webb’s terrific editorial input.

Hope you enjoy it.

  1. I liked how the ordinary just suddenly flipped and became this alien ‘sex act’… and I will sit uneasily at my next visit to the hairdressers…. as if I didn’t find haircutting experiences daunting enough! Thanks for this Nik.D

  2. Thanks for reading, folks. Really glad you enjoyed it.And really, there’s probably no reason why you should be scared of going to the hairdresser’s. Probably.Anne – you’re not the first person to ask that. You never know, maybe, one day, we’ll find out…Nik
