A Bewildering Story

Just a quick note to let you know that I’ve a very short story, Zalon the Hairdresser, up at Bewildering Stories (and thanks to Fionna for reminding me!).

Zalon was a real pleasure to write (I think I wrote the original draft a year ago – actually, as a point of (debatable) interest, the picture, the one on the right below FOLLOWERS and above the cover of I Met a Roman… is of me reading it last September) anyhoo, back to the point. Yes. Writing it was a pleasure, not least because of Don Webb’s terrific editorial input.

Hope you enjoy it.

I liked how the ordinary just suddenly flipped and became this alien ‘sex act’… and I will sit uneasily at my next visit to the hairdressers…. as if I didn’t find haircutting experiences daunting enough! Thanks for this Nik.D

Amazing! I did love the way you turned it round. It feels like it could well be longer even – what about if the two of them met up again??:))Axxx

Thanks for reading, folks. Really glad you enjoyed it.And really, there’s probably no reason why you should be scared of going to the hairdresser’s. Probably.Anne – you’re not the first person to ask that. You never know, maybe, one day, we’ll find out…Nik
