I Have a Cute What?

Acute laryngitis, the doctor told me. Oh. No singing for me for a while then.

Right, back to synopsising and editing and other such writerly essentials.

Help, Nik (oh, sorry about the throat) – I recently read a quote, I think a comment on a blog I went to via your blog, and I can’t find it. Maybe you remember having seen it, and where?Along the lines of, Young Adult books are just like adult books, but without the bullshit.Thanks.

Hi Lexi, can’t say I remember that, but I like it a lot! If it were to be any blogs I know I’d guess it might possibly be Mock Duck or Vulpes Libris (links to them both are at the side of mine, and to be honest, they’re both well worth a read anyway). You’ll be the first to know if I remember.Nik

Oy, sorry to hear it! What is “acute” about it? Does that mean it’ll be gone quickly? Hope you’re not in too much swallowing pain. Here’s wishing you back to singing soon.

Aw, thanks Tania. I think the acute bit means severe (though oddly, touch wood, I’m hardly in any pain). Strange.I don’t think many people would complain if my non-singing lasted. ;)Nik
