I have been waiting a long, long time for this.
Today, I can, very proudly announce, that four (yes, FOUR!) of the short stories from Freaks! are in the winter edition of the brilliant The Moth magazine. It’s the first time anything from Freaks! has been made available to the public and it’s also the first appearance I’ve made in a magazine since Not So Perfect. Oh yes, I’ve been saving it for you. And if that’s not enough to tempt you, it’s also the first opportunity for anyone to see just how good a short story writer my wonderfully brilliant co-author, Caroline Smailes, is. Although, in the true spirit of super heroes, the identities of the authors has to be kept secret. As have the illustrations, from Darren Craske, which’ll be in the book. You’ll have to wait a little longer to see those.
So, if you’d like a sneak peek at the kind of thing you can expect from the other 46 or so stories in Freaks! when it’s launched, next April, I shall, very proudly, point you in this direction.
Huzzah!
(There’s also a poem in there from a rather talented writer chap by the name of Mr Scott Pack…)
And, to celebrate, here’s something I know someone has a bit of a thing for…
